About Us

French Polynesia Travel Blog came about after our 33 trips together to this incredible destination. My Better Half (Zelle) had been to French Polynesia 4 times before I met her. I knew this was her happy place ... so when I asked her to marry me I promised I would take her to French Polynesia every year. I've kept my promise ... oh, and make her coffee every morning.

We have enjoyed land based vacations including small boutique places to expensive resorts. We have cruised French Polynesia 20 times 4 smaller ships. In total we have visited 10 islands in French Polynesia and 2 in the Cook Islands.

15 years ago I was a destination expert on TripAdvisor. For 5 years I shared my expertise of French Polynesia on TripAdvisor under the name 'Tiki In Tahiti'. 10 years ago I started helping people on Cruise Critic under the name 'Tahitian Big Kahuna' ... you can still find me there every day answering general questions.

Prior to the Paul Gauguin changing ownership to Ponant Zelle and I took marketing pictures and video for the cruise line.

Our Wedding

8 years ago I started a Facebook page which grew very rapidly to over 3000 members. 6 years ago I started a second Facebook page focusing on cruising in French Polynesia. Here is a link to my Facebook page. 5 years ago at the prompting of the then CEO of Tahiti Tourisme I started taking groups to French Polynesia on small ships (under 450 people). The typical size of my groups is 25 - 35 people. A perfect size ... not to small but not so large that it becomes hard to give personal attention to everyone.

I handle all the private excursions put together just for the group. I am now a travel consultant so I'm able to book my groups or individual books either land based or on a ship. I make sure you are well prepared for your trip of a lifetime. The majority of the time we go with our groups to French Polynesia ... I want to make sure everyone in our group have an incredible Polynesian experience.

When you decide to go with us, you will gain access to various events, receive detailed information about French Polynesia, view beautiful pictures/video (95% of the pictures/video were taken by us), go with a group of like-minded individuals who love French Polynesia and of course free access to my detailed blog.
